Mar 27, 2010 · 10547 posts · Joined 2007. #3 · Mar 27, 2010. CIM problems are. horn inop. steering wheel scroll wheels inop. fail to start- No engine cranking. horn inop with lights on. The alarm might be the ultra sonic module or a problem with one of the BCM's. The radio might also be at fault.
Jan 6, 2014 · Take it out and hold it to the sun or some bright light and see if the light is trying to filter through. If not and it is dark then knock it gently on something and try to get most of the dust and dirt off it. This may give it a quick fix but will need to be replaced pronto.

Apr 4, 2017 · Horn not working - changes the volume on the stereo instead. There is an intermittent issue with the horn, when I use the horn - it typically changes the volume on the stereo. I done the pedal fault code check and also plugged in my OBD scanner - no fault codes on the car at all. Vauxhall confirmed that the CIM module has been changed already.

Even when all the criteria are fulfilled (as Jeff has kindly listed in his post) my engine does not always stop automatically - and I've checked this several times!!
